Insurance Case Design

The Insurance Marketing staff can assist you in choosing the insurance products and companies on our recommended list that best address your client's situation. The following factors are considered when suggesting product alternatives:

• Length of time and amount of death benefit required.
• Client cash flow available.
• Health status of proposed insured.
• Estate planning considerations.

Assistance with products on the recommended list can usually be provided immediately on the telephone. Illustrations are provided within 24 hours in most cases. Our mission is to minimize the amount of time you spend on the telephone.

Morningstar reports, financial information from Vital Signs and information from A.M. Best are available for almost any product or life insurance carrier. These can be particularly helpful in a competitive situation.

HOW TO GET A CONTRACT ISSUED AS YOU'VE PROPOSED IT

Smoking status is only one consideration in determining if a client qualifies for a "preferred" rate. Insurance Marketing can provide a complete preliminary field underwriting questionnaire. Here are some basic field underwriting guidelines:

• Estate planning considerations.
Does your client have high blood pressure or cholesterol?
Is there any significant medical history or current medical condition?
Is your client on any medication or under a physician's care?
• Is there a history of heart disease or cancer in client's family?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, call Insurance Marketing for guidance. We can obtain a preliminary rate class (which is important for illustrative purposes).

Common underwriting requirement terms:
Non-Med Only the medical section of the application is required
Paramed Exam including height, weight, pulse, & blood pressure

Note: Include full name & address of physicians and/or clinics and, if applicable, proposed insured's HMO I.D. number or military I.D. number and branch of service.
